Why is Sound-Train the best way to teach phonics to young learners?

Sound-Train connects to the child’s innate sense of sound-based and visual language learning. The course makes the most of these naturally linked skills to aid rapid, complete phonics development and to connect speech sounds to write and spelled words.
Each sound and the associated written language is connected to a particular character. It is easy for children to identify and recreate each sound and link it to the correct written equivalent. This helps children to develop their literacy correctly, preventing spelling and reading errors due to incorrect associations, such as caw, instead of cow, or sell, instead of shell.

At Brackenwood Infant School we have been using the inspirational and research driven speech, sound and phonics program, Sound-Train, for the past three years.
